Elton John
Our night was so exciting!! Right after we walked into the concert last night, My nephew, Chad, was approached by a guy who works for Elton John. He gave us front row seats right in front of Elton John!! It was unbelieveable!!! I'm still in disbelief. We had absolutely the best seats there. We had so much fun! What a performer! Elton John was awesome! Thank you so much Lori and Chad!!!

Delta Baseball at Van Buren
Delta Varsity Baseball had a double header today at Van Buren. First they played Van Buren and then they played Bowsher. These two pictures are from the first game against Van Buren. Delta was losing from the get-go, but in the last two innings came back and won! It was really exciting for the boys. The first picture above is Brandon as third baseman. The second picture is him on first base. The second game against Bowsher didn't go so well...but I think they are a division one team.
Christian Appalacia Project Trip
Here is Luc along with some of the other volunteers from St. Richard: Luc, Fr. Dan, Steve Niese, Michael Pool. Luc really enjoyed this trip. They worked hard, had fun, learned a lot, helped some people who needed it. This picture is off his cell phone. He had a disposable camera with him as well, and I will get those pictures developed tonight. So, maybe I'll be posting some more pictures from this trip. Luc is actually thinking about working for CAP after high school/before college. We'll see....

Christian Appalacia Project Trip
Luc left yesterday morning for Kentucky with a group of teenagers and adults from our Church. They will be part of CAP....Christian Appalacia Project, which helps the needy in the Appalacia areas. They help them by building, and making desperately needed home repairs. Luc is very handy and just loves this "hands-on" type stuff. This is the second year he has done this. Last year they got rained on a lot. This year they are going to McKee, Kentucky. I've checked the weather and it looks pretty good for them. He'll be back late Saturday.

First Track Meet of the Season
Delta had their first Track Meet with Wauseon and Evergreen. Luc pole vaults on the varsity team. He is a freshman so of course the seniors and juniors are much better than him, but he'll get there. He was able to vault 8'=6" easy, but just couldn't quite clear 9'-0". Hopefully he will do better and better as the season goes. Here are a couple of pictures I got of him going over.
First Baseball Game of the Season
So.....I drive to Delta's first Varsity Baseball game of the season which was at Fremont Ross....and of course I bring Francine, my Chihuahua, with me, as I do to all the games, right? So after driving 1 hr, 15 min, I get there and there is a sign..."No dogs allowed", which of course I do not see. So I go in and right away they give us the boot! Francine, mind you, is smaller than a small cat, but she isn't allowed in. So this is why the picture above sucks....because we had to sit outside the gate and watch. Oh well. It was okay. Brandon is up to bat in this picture. Can you tell??? Anyway, it was a really good game....close, but in the end Delta lost by one! They played well though. Brandon had a couple of really good hits, right out to the fence, but someone was always there to catch them.
