Take me out to the Ball Game!!!

Well, its time for Fall Baseball! This is Brandon's 2nd year playing fall baseball. He's on a league out of Napoleon. It has a laid back format. It helps them improve and practice their baseball skills. For the next five Sunday afternoons I'll be at baseball games watching Brandon play (He is on the Navy Team). Hope for good weather!

Summer Vacation

This summer we went to the Catskill Mountains in New York. We rented a pop-up camper and camped. Here you can see us visiting the Kaaterskill waterfalls and biking near our campground. I bought a bicycle basket so Francine could also go biking with us. While we were in the area, Brandon and Bob went to Baseball Hall of Fame, something Brandon really wanted to do. You can see him in the picture standing next to some memorabilia from his favorite team, the Giants.

Luc and his friend Connor got to go to Aunt Lori's this summer. They had so much fun on the paddleboat and fishing, and taking a ride on the pontoon. Thanks Aunt Lori and Grandma Ginny!

College Search

We started the college campus visit thing this summer for Brandon. So far we have visited six colleges: BGSU, Ohio University, Ohio State University, Ohio Northern, Marist, and Vassar. All are very different from each other. Brandon liked them all! We have two more we are going to visit in October: Otterbein and Calvin. Right now he is not sure what he wants to do or where he wants to go. I told him in a couple of months he'll have to start applying. I will keep you posted on any developments. If anyone has any advice for him, let us know! Thanks, Wendy for the college discussion you had with him this past June!

My First Blog

Hi! I'm Lisa and this is my very first blog! So, let me tell you a bit about myself and my family.

I have three boys -not really....I'm counting my husband as "one of the boys"...and for good reason. We have been married for twenty years as of next month. I don't think anyone thought it would last but I guess we fooled them all. He is now in his fifties, but forever going on 17. We have two sons, Brandon, 17, and Luc, 15. We are NOT rich as far as money goes, but we are rich because we are all happy, healthy, and love each other. Bob is really into motorcycles and tinkering out in the barn. Brandon is senior in high school. He is very smart...on the honor roll, taking advanced classes, and now college classes. We are currently looking at what college he will go to and trying to help him decide what he'd like to study. He loves to play baseball, and likes sports in general. Luc is counting the days til he can get his temps! He is a freshman. He loves to hunt, fish, ride bikes. He likes to wrestle and pole vaults in Track at school.

Oh...I almost forgot about my favorite member of my family....my chihuahua, Francine.
