Friday's Fiasco

Friday I was supposed to go to the Cleveland Clinic. I had multiple things scheduled and they had been scheduled for a long time. I really needed to go. I really wanted and needed to speak to my doctor. I was looking forward to it for so long.....though I don't know the "looking forward" is the best words to describe. But you know, you start counting on something, mentally prepare for it. I was hoping for help, for answers. I was hoping to get something to help with some issues. We started hearing about bad weather for Friday morning. But Bob and I both thought it wouldn't really start til 4 or 5am. We thought that would give us time to get an early start and go. In hindsight, I guess we should've went the night before. We got up at 4am. The weather was already bad. Big snow, very windy. We left by 5am. I really figured the turnpike would not be bad, but it was HORRIBLE!! We couldn't see anything.....not the road, not a car length in front of us, nothing....It was snowing so hard and blowing so hard. It was all we could do to get to the next exit and come home....which took us an hour! I was so bummed. It was just a huge let-down. Now instead of taking one paid day off, I have to take three: one yesterday, one this thursday for testing and another to see the doctor. To schedule it all in one day as it was done originally, I would've had to wait a long time. Sucks!

New Additions

This week at Luc's school was FFA Week. Yesterday, if you have a farm animal, you could take it to school. Luc took two of our Leghorn hens. But he came home not only with our two, but four more other chickens! Here is a picture of one of our four new chickens.
