Does he look happy???

On Monday, Brandon and I traveled to Columbus, OSU, to pick up textbooks and football tickets. The big smile on his face above is him with his football tickets, not textbooks, mind you.
We walked around campus, learned some new things,
especially about textbook buying/renting, etc.
Where did we eat lunch???
COLDSTONE!!! Thats it...just ice cream for lunch.
Apparently I am teaching him good habits before he leaves.

Summer Break...

...is over for Luc! So sad. He worked so hard this summer. He had a good weekend though. Him and Bob went to Michigan International Speedway for the NASCAR race (Thanks Aunt Jan and Uncle Jimmy). Then instead of coming home, they unexpectedly decide to go further north to Silver Lake Sand Dunes. They rented dune buggies and played on the dunes. Luc said he had a blast!! But the first day back to school is tomorrow. Hopefully it will be a good year.
Brandon is finishing up his last two weeks at ODOT. He will have a bit of time off and then on September 19 we move him down to OSU. I'm glad he is almost done with his summer job. Its been so hot and humid this summer and he is working outside all day. He has had some trouble with heat exhaustion (headaches, nausea, vomiting). Today he found out his dorm room assignment. He did get his first preference which was Steeb Hall. Steeb Hall is a learning community for Engineering. I am so hoping he has decent roommates.

The chickens and the coop

Luc continues his work on the chicken coop. He's made a ramp for them to come in and out of the coop and they have a fenced in yard spend time in during the day. They are getting bigger all the time it seems! Eggs in two months!

My Visitor at Work

A doe came to visit me at work today!! Just this morning, I cut up 8 apples and threw them out there. This doe came to visit late morning and then again in the afternoon. I actually had a lot of wildlife today...lots of birds, squirrels, and the deer.
This weekend was very busy. My friend, Janet, who is getting married this September, had a bridal shower Saturday which I went to. There was also a dinner party that night for Janet and Bob in Ann Arbor...neat place.

What we've been up to....

Sorry for not posting lately. I have been so busy at work. We had a crazy schedule on a project recently.....that was for the Toledo Zoo. Next week I start a new project at the BP Refinery.
Bob has been busy too (as usual). His office is moving temporarily due to a building addition.
Brandon has been busy working at ODOT. This has been really good work for him and a great paycheck for going away to college this fall. Last Thursday and Friday Brandon and Bob went to OSU for Freshman Orientation. We are overwhelmed!!! Brandon is all signed up for classes and got his football tickets (probably the most important thing to him!). School starts for him end of September.
Luc has been busy working too. He works at Delta Truck Sales and Service, and he loves his job! He works most weekdays during the summer. When school is in session, he usually works on Saturday....sometimes on Sunday if they are busy. In his spare time, he loves to fish and his favorite thing this summer is getting to go to his Aunt Lori's cottage. He was up there this weekend with his friend, Connor. He really enjoys being there and has a great time. He's had a bit more freedom this summer since he can now drive. School starts for him in basically in two short weeks!!
Tomorrow the drug company nurse comes to visit me and teach me how to self-inject for my new MS treatments. I don't expect it to be a big deal...it'll just be something else to do everyday..like brushing my teeth.
....Hard to believe that it is August already!
