Brandon went up to church yesterday morning and volunteered helping put up the Advent Giving Trees. This is the first week of Advent. The trees are decorated with ornaments in which each one represents a need of a charitable organization in NWO. The way it works is you take an ornament off the tree and fulfill the need. For example, I have an ornament which is for baby clothes for Heartbeat of Toledo, an organization that helps young women who have unplanned pregnancies. During Advent, we are asked to remember those in need. I really enjoy participating in the Advent Giving Tree project.

An important thing to remember, especially this Christmas. We always give to Toys For Tots and this year I'm helping to wrap presents at church for the families that are being helped through them. It's great that Luke is volunteering like that! :)
