She never failed to do her best
Her heart was true and tender;
She toiled hard for those she loved,
And left them to remember.
A loving mother, kind and true,
Her equals on this earth are few;
A happy life, a peaceful end,
She died as she lived, everybody's friend.
If we had this world to give,
We would give it and more;
To see our darling mother,
Come smiling through the door.
Those who have a mother,
Should tend her with care;
For you never know her value
Till you see her vacant chair.
Rest in Peace, Julie

Thank you for sharing your beautiful poem. Would it be alright if I share it with Julie's family?
ReplyDeleteThanks,

Thank you for commenting. I actually got the poem from the funeral home visit. Its right on her little memorial card. I kept thinking of what to say on my blog, but when I read that...well, it just says it all. I sat by Julie at some of the kids' sporting events and would see her at school functions. She was a very, very nice person and obviously a wonderful mom ....her kids are very nice and good kids. I gave Adam some rides home and such from baseball one summer when he played ball with my older son. Adam is a very nice young man. Julies passing is sad and shocking. Let me know if there is anything I can do. I would love to help.
