Merry Christmas 2010

I hope you all had a wonderful Christmas! As you can see from the earlier post, my family and I went to my sister, Lori's house for Christmas Eve. Christmas Day, we had a brunch with my mom. I forgot to take pictures!!! On Sunday, we went to Bob's mom's house and had dinner with his mom, his sister, Jan and her husband Jimmy. I forgot my camera!! And Jan forgot her camera. Edie had her camera which we did take pictures with. It seemed so foreign to us though.....not digital....actual film!

We had a nice time visiting with everyone!!!

Thursday was our "pigout" at work. Lots of good food! I ate too much, of course, but I guess thats the idea. The picture above is Ashley and Anna. Anna had made these "cake pop" snowmen. They were so cute. She gets the "martha stewart" award this year.

Visitors at Work

We have this little wild kitty out in the woods at our work. It is getting spoiled by certain people at work (Iams cat food, no less). Anyway, it has its own food and water bowls, and everyone loves to see it visit. But today, before I left, I saw this other wild critter show up. Of course the possum wanted the kitty's food. I tried to scare it off, but I'm sure it'll be back. Poor kitty.

Wednesday before T-day

I worked a half day today and then traveled to C-bus to bring Brandon back for Thanksgiving. Usually we go out to dinner the Wednesday evening before Thanksgiving. We got back just in time. We met at Red Lobster. Check out the pictures:

Brandon and Grandma Edie......As you can see, Brandon buzzed his head while away at school. He decided it would be easy...Plus one of his roommates is in ROTC and he buzzes his head. So Brandon joins him in buzzing the hair off. Whatever.

OSU vs MI Party at Work

Today was our OSU vs MI Party at work!! We grilled brats and had lots of good food to go with.....cornbread, M-Go Blueberry Pie, Buckeyes, chips and dip, vegies, beans, etc.

Everyone wore their favorite teams colors!

Work Friends

We have been so busy at work, which is really good. Despite being so busy, I had the opportunity to enjoy a colleague luncheon and a dinner out.

Ashley and I enjoyed a dinner out with colleagues from Nexus, Marianne and Sara. We went to dinner at the Melting Pot. It just so happened to be Ladies Night that night. We all won prizes! We had a wonderful time.

A bunch of us took time out and went out to lunch on Thursday to Panera.

Patty took all us girls to go see the musical Rock of Ages. It was such a fun musical! I thoroughly enjoyed it! If you get the chance to go to it, do.

First Egg

This morning I went out to the chicken coop and found my first egg!!!

This is my second set of chickens. I got the day-old chicks in early June. And now...Eggs!! Yea!

Oak Openings Walk

Francine and I met Grandma Ginny at Oak Openings for a walk today. It was a beautiful day! We have to take advantage of nice days like this while we can!!

Halloween 2010

It seems to be our tradition to go over the Viers' for Halloween. They live in town and pass out candy to the Trick-or-Treaters. We don't get Trick-or-Treaters at our house. It's a play date for the dogs, Francine, Maxine, and Irma! We had a very nice dinner together afterwards and then watched football in the Pub at the nextdoor neighbors. I had ribs for the first time ever in my life!!

Evans Street Station, part II

Last Saturday we went to lunch at Evans Street Station in Tecumseh (of course I wore OSU attire) and then went shopping at the little shops there. I had a nice time with the girlfriends :)

Parent Weekend at OSU

We had such a great weekend!!! I was so happy to see Brandon! He is doing great. It seems all the students in his dorm room and on his dorm floor are one big happy family. They share and do many things together, and look out for each other. They get along great. Classes seem to also be going well. He is having a blast there! I have been worrying so much, but I feel much better now. OSU puts on a real nice Parent Weekend. They had so many activities and things to do together. Brandon will be home for Thanksgiving day!
